I own a 2002 Subaru WRX, so I know what the insurance really is on my car. I went to my insurance company's web site, and got a quote online for insurance and it was nearly accurate to the dollar. Then, I got a quote from the same web site for a new Fit MT Sport. The quotes were both $83 per month, only the Fit was
several cents less to insure. On the other hand, a Scion xB was much less to insure, over $100 less per year to insure.
Yes, insurance on the Fit is insane. It should be several hundred dollars less per year to insure the Fit than my current ride,
especially considering the Fit costs less to repair overall (heck it's only 60% the price of my current vehicle!) and it has curtain side airbags, which is an additional safety feature, and it has
less than 1/2 the horsepower. Utterly ridiculous...
