i'd be interested in the seats, just for the ability to keep my side airbags but have better side bolstering. they more or less match the interior no?
i dunno how well the new engine will respond to mods, but i know for a fact that the r18 civic does have a turbo kit or 2 out and there have not been any problems thus far, and the power gains are good.
it may seem like a waste of money though, the engine swap that is. but the appeal of the new engine is not so much the new hp and tq ratings, as much as it is the smoothness and the torque curve, which is very flat.
ivtec is not on/off like older vtec is, hence why the torque curve is so nice.

Forget about cylinder heads, I want to know if the 2009 rear head rests are compatible with the 07/08 models. I hate removing the rear head rests to fold the seats down, it would be much nicer to just push 'em down.

It would be nice if the rear seats would fit our 1st gen. That way we would have that extra glove box.

of course, if you have lower seat brackets/rails, they'll no longer have the right amount of clearance - in which case the GE headrests would be a wonderful investment

you don't need to remove the headrests on to fold the rear seats down, the rear headrests slide under the front driver/passenger seat

^ not in the 07/08 model. you have to remove the headrests or you can't fold the seats down all the way to get into "cargo" mode. but in the 09 the headrests are flush with the rear seat when down all the way, so you don't have to remove them. and that's what i want in my car...

i would like to do forged internals, but i would go high-compression naturally aspirated instead.

oohhhh, i think i might get it. do you have to put your drivers and passengers seat all the way forward before folding the rear seats down? if that's the case, i'd still prefer removing the headrests, because it takes me about 2 days to get the seat in the right position after moving it. that's where 09 headrests would come in handy.
