the drive
I went to the Philippines 2 years ago for the first time, and they really drive like that. Highway patrol is so laid back there.

O my god, I dint know that was sped up at first, I just about had a heart attack. That was the most reckless yet awesome driving I have ever seen. If you forget for a second that you would be pulled over and in Jail in no time, trying to drive like that in MN would result in a crash with in less then 2 miles. The traffic laws there seem a bit lax

Technically they do. Right now they are required for two races but beginning in 2009 they will need to last three race weekends. Given one race is at least 300km plus three practice sessions and the qualify sessions, I guesstimated it at 1k miles. I'm sure you could push it some more, but remember they are subjected to 19,000 rpm's and over 5,000 gear changes in one race.
Also required for 2009 is total cost for 25 engine units is 10million euros for teams that purchase their power train from manufacturers which equates to 400,000 euros per unit.
