Window Visors

I'm looking to get some, but after going through so many sites they all seem to be a bit pricey. I'm looking towards E-bay for some now because they're around $20-40. HondaFitTuner.com has 3 different sets but shipping is instantly 20 bucks which is like 80% of the price of the visors, so I called BS. I'm hoping you guys call tell me if the ebay ones are worth getting, or else I'm considering going with the expensive Mugen ones.

Hopefully you guys can direct me to a place with fairly priced visors that aren't crappy quality or if anyone has ever bought visors off Ebay shed some light on this matter. Otherwise as a last resort I'll shell out a ridiculous $140+ for 4 pieces of plastic.

Hi! I have the Mugen ones and I have to say they are of pretty good quality. I can't really say anything bad about the Ebay ones because I dont have them but I can tell you why I like the Mugen ones! x]

I thought about getting the ebay ones until I heard some reviews on them. The thing that got me was that some of the Ebay ones aren't clear but just solid black. Also I like that there are clips and tape on the Mugen ones rather than just the sticky tape like the Ebay ones.

If you don't wanna shed 140 on some visors, see if anyone is selling a used set! :] I'm pretty sure I saw some up for sale recently. :]

Hope this helps.

yeah you should probably limit yourself to either the real mugen or OEM access ones. they use both double sided tape and clips to hold it on.. very solid and they are high quality thick plastic..

in channel visors will probably screw up your window motor or something.. there's not enough room in the channel for them

hondafittuner's cheap fake OEM copy for like $30 or whatever are pretty bad. i had them on my car for a month. i was just able to yank them off with little effort

i ended up getting the OEM access visors:
JDM Fit GD3 Windows Visors Set Honda Access

if you really care about your car and plan on keeping it a long time invest in something of quality.. if you just want the function of it cheap out

i have the OEM JDM visors. and i got to tell you, the quality on the Mugen or OEM is better than the Ebay ones i've seen. Longterm i dont think the ebay brand visors will stay on to well unless you reapply the tape.

+1 on getting good quality products. I just bought the OEM ones and they actually have clips that attach to the window, therefore those things aren't moving anywhere. I know a guy who had the generic ones and the tape lost it's stickiness and started flapping in the wind.

you might want to look at weathertech.com too. i was thinking about those ones. They're a cheaper than mugen and have clips.

I heard the cheapies don't last through an auto carwash, so i'd just stay away from those. The Honda one actually looks the best to me.

hey jimrb66, do you have a pic of the weathertech ones installed? I hope this isn't threadjacking, I think this is applicable to the topic.

I really like the OEM ones a lot, and I didn't know we even had OEM ones made. I'm definitely going with those. And I honestly think they look much better and sleeker than the Mugen ones. Is that the only place I can get OEM?

i got knock off mugens off ebay for free when my buddie didnt want his anymore.

they stay on fine, just make sure you really clean the surface before you apply the visor. i cleaned it off with water, the cleaner, then rubbed it with alcohol then applied the visors. no problems.

I paid CDN $135 delivered to my door. I am actually heading out for a short weekend trip. If nobody has posted pics by Tuesday, I'll put some up when I get back. In the interim, they look similar to the OEM Honda ones as far as "sleekness". However, they do come all the way down to the front of the window sill, by the mirrors, and deflect wind and rain very well. They just snap in without any clips or tape. However, the rear ones use double-sided tape (inside the channel) to hold them in place, and when the window is down, there is a gap along the trailing edge due to the shape of the glass, and rain will get in.

I do 95% of my driving on the highway, and since I do not have A/C, these were a great way to reduce wind noise at high speed with my windows down especially during the rain.

I love the subtle, almost invisible look, and it looks like it came from the factory - not tacked on afterwards. Excellent quality and customer service.

I bought my knock-off visors on eBay and have had two of them start to come loose. After removing the loose ones and putting new 3M mounting tape (available danged near everywhere) on them, I've had no further problems. That said, I like the looks (Mugen knockoffs without the inset rectangle which I think detracts from the looks) and performance of my 20-odd dollar knockoffs.

Automatic car wash? Sorry, I like my paint too much for that.
