2009 nissan cube vs. 2006-2008 fit

would anyone here trade out for one of these?

LA 2008: Nissan unleashes the slightly less cube-y Cube [w/VIDEO] - Autoblog

i hate and love it at the same time...quirky looks, 122 hp v4, 30+ hwy mpg, traction control, cvt, etc. etc...

If the cube would have been available before I purchased the Fit (which I adore 150% and have not one regret for buying it), then I would have taken it into consideration along with the Fit.

I really like the look of the cube. I have also had good experiences in the past with Nissan. Perhaps in about 7 years I will revisit the idea of a Cube.

The Cube brings back most of the "weird/ugly/cute" lost when the original Scion xb was redone; in addition, the Scion's ridiculous center mounted gauge pod turns me off. I MIGHT consider owning one (if it has a manually shifted version!). Having said that, I am STILL hopelessly in LOVE w/ my FIT!!!

i believe you can get a 6-speed manual. nissan obviously learned from scion and honda before bringing the cube here. hence, it's loaded with all the stuff the others did not have in the first gens.

if scion brought the bb here, i might trade out to that.

I would consider it. But i think the gd3 is far sexier. The 6-speed is kinda cool though.

siguy is on a distinguished road
I was always amazed that the Scion Xa never became very popular. I always thought it was a good competitior to the first Fits, and I really thought it had aggressive styling. I'd almost compare the first XB to the Fit, just cuz of the inside space. The Cube is like that, ie: little box with a lot of room inside. Of course, the Fit looks waaaaay better.

To me, the Cube is more hideous than the boxy Scions. I'd take a Fit any day of the week!!!

rofl I don't really like the roof. Um, even if it has a 6spd, I'll stick with Honda

Here's the conversation I just had with my fiancee:

Me: "So Nissan looks like they're going to try and compete with the Fit since the Versa isn't doing so well against it." (We considered a Versa, for about a day then test drove it and said no way)
I slide the macbook over to show her the pic of the Cube
Her: "Uhhhh..." (silence, confused look on her face) "That looks weird. Ugly. Actually, it looks like a... marshmallow. ...I want to eat it."
Me: "Should I get the firepit going then?"
Her: "Mmmm, delicious."

So, time for s'mores.
