"Best" Modification for 08 Fit Sport

What does everyone feel is the best modification they've done to their Fit? CAI, suspension, exhaust, etc.

Just looking to get the best bang for the buck.

Thanks
Charles

Tints are cheap and changes the car ASAP. Then some nice springs, it will give the car a nice stance even on factory alloys.

Tires.

Anything else depends on how you drive your car.

If you push the limits on a lot of corners, the progress rear sway bar would probably be next on my list in the bang-for-the-buck category.

If you do a lot of highway driving, the beatrush underpanel makes a HUGE difference in high speed stability.

If it's a commuter/cruiser, a new head-unit can make a HUGE improvement in sound quality.

Type-SH decal.

Not sure about the "best." The mods I did are all important.

Tint, changes the way the car looks. Keeps the interior cooler too, there is a lot of space for the A/C system to cool.

Wheels, at 18 lbs each, they are too damn heavy for a small car like the Fit.

Wheels, tires, and suspension. nothing else comes close. Performance beats cosmetics every time.

There was an almost identical thread before, and yes he bought a dead pedal in the end.

There is no such thing as a best mod, each type of mod will have different effects to the car. Want to improve steering? Want to improve throttle response? Gas mileage? ETC. Each of those would still be considered modding and a good deal depending on what you get.

This kind of thread is too general, just can't compare apples to oranges by doing something like dumping in intakes with suspension. I think you should pick what you want to improve then ask what the best product with the best price for that would be in its respective forum.

The extra spring on the gas pedal. Now I usually drive without cruise control like I like to do. Before it gave me cramps. At about $6-$7 I think it wins for bang-for-buck

I haven't done much modding yet, but I like my 3rd brake light that says FIT in LED lights. Bought from alexfree here on the forum. Like this one

FS:Led 3rd Brake Light "Fit"

Of course the fitfreak.net sticker on the rear window is good advertisement, and shows everyone what I love, as does my personalized plate.

As far as other people's Fits, I like them slammed, so I'd say coilovers, and then new rims. I'm not going to lower mine - we get floods here in Houston on a regular basis. but new rims are in my future at some point. Maybe Christmas. I like the black ones with chrome lips.

Tint goes without saying, no car looks cool with fishbowl windows. Get as dark as you can get away with legally (I don't need any more tickets)(as much as I like to flirt with cops).

A good exhaust system? Boost the engine? yeah, if you have the bux for it. The Fit is a very moddable car.

Plastic mesh gutter guard behind the lower grill, secured with black zip ties. Almost free, virtually invisible, and helps avoid $$$ for A/C repairs. Honda could have included this in the design of the car for about a dollar.
