engine oil level dropping

Hi pal,

My engine oil level drop from top to bottom level around 2km. Car was hoisted up n no signs of oil leaking from engine or anyway along the pipe.

After swapping a str thru HKS, saw white smoke exiting n traces of oil detected at inner tip of exos.

Wiping with white cloth confirm its engine oil.

No modification was done to the engine before. Its as stock as it is till the day my buddy sway his stuffs over.

Anyone with this problem, anyone knows what happened?

Kindly please assist

So your saying you added a HKS exhaust and now your car is burning oil? I really would not know why it would start doing that, hopefully some one can Chaim in.

is there any smoke? if so, what color?

when i blew the head gasket on my gt-four i had oil in the exhaust and light traces of blue smoke whenever i was on the throttle. when i replaced it, oil consumption was back to normal (about an eighth of a quart between oil changes) and the blue smoke eventually went away after it all burn up in the exhaust.

Don't think the HKS caused the oil consumption unless you disturbed something during installatuion.
Usually oil consumption is caused by improperly seated rings. The fact you went to HKS may indicate you pounded your Fit during break-in and natuarally that can lead to broken and unseated rings.
Did you remove the head for installation of the exhaust? Any other piping?

Hi pal tks for our reply n contributions,

Well i did not notice the engine oil level dropping after installing HKS exhaust. It was depleting right from the start, my friend had to buy my a quart of oil to refill when we meet for a dinner. ever since i carry extra bottle in my boot.

Other then my suspension, brakes n tyres, everything else is stock. was using stock OEM filter all along till i swap my friend HKS.

Being a str thru exhaust unlike stock with bends, it allow white smoke to exit ( as mention by mechanic out of honda )

In a fix now...v low morale n driving without ease of mind.
