P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor (G42): Signal Too High
I tried searching and couldn't find much help on this. My wife's '08 Fit (5sp., 45,000 miles) just threw the above code today. I noticed that the engine sounded louder and vibrated a bit more than normal when we were out and about, so I scanned it when I got home. The CEL was NOT on when we came home, but after I plugged the scanner and read the DTC, I started the engine and the CEL came on. I'm thinking that the loudness and vibrations came from the ECU going into closed-loop mode? Also, although hard to tell with the crappy road I was on, I could've sworn that that while I was driving in 5th gear at low RPM's I was feeling a very slight "jerk" under heavier load, like the engine was misfiring or something.
Anyway, I read the IAT sensor with the scanner and it gave me a temp of 44*C without the engine running. After I restarted the engine (about 10 minutes after getting home and 5 minutes after reading the DTC), the IAT reading dropped to 37*C and hung around there for the next 30 seconds or so until I stopped reading it. Ambient temp was around 28*C (83*F).
I'm thinking I'm just going to replace the sensor, as I don't think that Honda will cover it under the powertrain warranty. I don't have a manual, can anyone post a pic or diagram showing where the IAT sensor is?
I can't imagine why this would occur all of a sudden, there's nothing that's happened very recently to warrant a sensor going bad.
Thanks for any help!!!

Not that it's helpful, but I recently got this code ('08 Fit Sport A/T, 97,000 miles). There are a number of ongoing issues with my vehicle, but I notice the following similar symptom:
I got the same kind of "jerk" feelings at all speeds and in neutral, most noticeably when trying to accelerate slightly.
the engine sounded louder and vibrated a bit more than normal
while I was driving in 5th gear at low RPM's I was feeling a very slight "jerk" under heavier load, like the engine was misfiring or something

On the GD3 fits, the IAT should be on the black intake manifold chamber, near throttlebody.
try myhondapartsstore.com for parts diagrams, should be able to locate it in the intake manifold section

Most likely this is a coil pack issue. I've had multiple codes thrown that were completely unrelated to the coils, including IAT. If you haven't replaced coil packs for a while it won't hurt, they will eventually trouble you.
