Replacement Key / Fob for Base Model

I've got a 2007 Fit Base model

I recently lost one of my keys + remote control. I was wondering if I needed to have the dealer program a new key/remote or if I just need to have a key cut, then the remote control reprogram as per the manual.

Obviously the second option would be a lot cheaper as I could go to ebay for the remote/key combo rather than paying 200+ at the dealership.

I have seen a lot of talk about people having to go to the dealer to get the key programmed by the dealer to work with the immobilizer, but these posts are always about Sport Models with the single key + remote control combined.

Does anyone know if this is necessary, and if the base Fit with keyless entry/panic has an immobilizer?

Thanks!!

I was at my local dealer a couple days ago and was told that the base Fit key still has to be programmed. That costs just as much as a factory replacement key! If you find another way to do this, post it because I only have one key as well.
