Fit gurus,

After R&R of engine:

1. gauges light up
2. steering won't lock
3. key won't release
4. engine won't start
5. shifter stuck in park

When I remove and then connect negative battery cable, the key can be removed and the steering will lock until it is unlocked by the key, which then becomes stuck again.

The manual shifter release works.

I looked for information on this forum on how to reset it.

Any advice and help would be appreciated!

Have you checked the brake pedal/ start interlock switch?

The brake switch and the shifter lock servo are good. Still no power to the starter solenoid. The steering locks and transmission unlocks only with a battery disconnect.

Any ideas out there?
