Hit and Run

The other day I was t-boned in my 2011 Fit! Person blasted through a red light right into my driver side fender/door. Fawker took off as well! It happened so quick that I didn't get a license plate number our visual of the suspect, just a visual of the vehicle as it zoomed by (black truck, looks to be a silverado).

Just a visual external assessment there is damage to the front bumper, driver side rim, fender, and door. I dont know the extent of damage to the suspension such as the axles, struts, brakes and so on... Both side air bags deployed.

Although the damage doesn't look bad, the collision sure did feel bad. Best of all though, I am safe, most likely due to Honda's strength and ingenuity!

Damn, that sucks. It's a pain to get all the airbag systems replaced (and really costly too), and that axle and the suspension bits are done.

Body doesn't look too bad, but the wheel took most of it.

All that matters is that you're doing fine! So what did the insurance say about it?

meant to post in the general! LOL!

But it's ok, i'll just leave it here... yea, i thought the same thing. I hope it didn't buckle the frame or floor. Just waiting on the insurance and body shop. I took it to a reputable shop in town.

This is what happened to me, H&R driver T'boned and totalled my GD. Seat & side curtains deployed, broken front CV joint, and busted wheel/tire.

Thanks my friends! I've been in two accidents with Hondas, both not my fault, and both walked away!

Got a call from the shop and the car is repairable and that the insurance probably wont total it. Its a fairly reputable shop in town so i assume they know what they're doing. What kind of communication the shop has with the insurance, I dont know. But I do know that the insurance hasn't had much communication with us... i would assume that although the vehicle is repairable, it's always up to the insurance to value if it is worth it... waiting and waiting... my $500 limit on a rental car is running out. LOL!
