Like the title says. I have a 08 base and want to upgrade to a oem sport radio. Will the sport radio fit the base model without any modification?

 

I do remember that the Sport head unit had a 6-speaker setup - two additional tweeters than the base if memory serves. But I don't know if that would require mods on your part, especially if you're running the standard 4-speaker setup original to the base.

Funny you should ask. I just posted my '08 Sport head unit in the FS section for $60 net to me. Very few miles (10K) when I pulled it so it should last a long time.

 

I think it's the same radio, at least in the 07. I have a base model and added the aux input that the sport has. The connector was on the back of my radio and all i had to do was make a plug and jump 2 pins to enable the aux input.

Tweeters would run off the front speakers. There's no additional output on a radio for them.
