I recently purchased an 08 Fit Base, and while I love most everything about it, the lack of an audio input jack is driving me crazy. I would really rather not add an aftermarket radio and the Sport version of the Aux input looks pretty nice.

With that in mind, I’ve performed dozens of searches and haven’t found much on how to add this connection. I did find that the Canadian model had this feature in the base, but not the US version unless you got the Sport model.

So, I ask: Can I simply purchase the Sport Jack Assembly (39112-SAA-J02ZA) and then buy the cable that connects it to set this up in my base? If so, can anyone tell me the part number for the cable that connects the jack assembly to the back of the radio?

I have to assume that this would work (even with the base radio), but I’m hoping someone out there has tried this or performed a similar setup in the base model. I would also assume that there would be the Canadian equivalent jack and line, but I have been unable to find those parts or part numbers either.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

 

Have you checked PAC Audio?

They make harnesses to convert OEM radio equipment to having AUX, Bluetooth, or iPod hook up.

 

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll check them out. I would still prefer a factory option if possible, both because of the cost savings and the overall look. I have looked at aftermarket radio options, but I've read that the replacement face plates are really not that nice.
