Anyone watch that episode of Family Guy where Lois runs for mayor of Quahog? During the debate, she tries to explain her point of views to undecided voters, but gets owned when she gets gonged. Then Brian helps her out by telling her to keep her explanations simple with things people can relate to. That's exactly how I see politics working nowadays. I can really relate to that since our new Premier enacted a royalty review regarding oil and gas royalties here in Alberta. Unfortunately, the average person who isn't in the industry doesn't understand how much a company has to invest and how long it takes for it to pay out. All the new Premier had to do was say "We are not getting our fair share" and everyone flocked to his side of the argument. Needless to say, investment in oil and gas has gone down and a lot of projects have been canceled. Street racing IMO is no different. Politicians target the easiest scapegoat they can find to get the popular vote. I know so many people with modified cars who do it as a hobby and not to street race, yet we still get singled out by the fuzz because a modified exhaust, lowering springs, and new wheels automatically stereotypes me as a asian rice boy street racer...stupid politics...
