i installed eibach pro springs yesterday, and now everytime i hit a speed bump or corner at slow speeds there is a clunk type noise from the rear. anyone have any ideas???

if it's like a spring clunk noise, your spring is rubbing the wall of the
spring carrier.
your spring orientation is incorrect. either upside down or you need
to turn the spring.
do you have a progress swaybar installed?

i did install them on the rubber pads, and the eibach letters are face up which i thought was the correct way. i cant tell if they are rubbing on anything(it doesnt look like it from what i can tell from the rear of the car). we are going to put it back on the lift next saturday and see if they are set correctly, guess we can check then if they are rubbing. thanks for the replies, and if anyone else has any suggestions feel free to add them in.

I can tell you, your absolutly fine. if your sure you installed them right then just ride it out. I also had the noise and i can tell you after a few weeks its gone. The main reason it left so soon for me is i way going over ten speed bumps every day round trip.

install...although you can do it by removing the shock tower nut.

Are you sure the springs arent upside down. I made the same mistake by going by the writing on the spring. But I was wrong. The writing on the Vogtland springs is supposed to be upside down in the car. So I would double check them.

hummm... im using my trusty hand tools and live in a salty area.
you think the Fit's shock bolts are tuff to remove, try removing the
bottom strut bolts off a WRX by hand.
those bolts are only torqued up to about 40-45lbs...it appears Honda
used some threadlock on them though. give it a little more umph! and
it will come off.

Sounds like in this situation though, the clunk goes away after a bit. sometimes spraying a little white grease on the rubber bushings helps.
