Almost 20 years ago I bought a '89 Civic Si new, and loved that car. The '09 Fit has reinvogorated my desire to buy a sporty, fuel-efficent hatchback much like the Civic Si I once had. The 1st gen Fit is a great car, and I almost bought one, but knew that in just a few short years, a redesign would happen, and the 1st gen would be the previous generation without the benefit of the latest technology, and therefore be less desirable.

Well, in a few short years after '09 wouldn't the 2nd gen Fit become the previous generation without benefit of the latest technology and therefore be less desirable?
