Lightbulb T1R Quick Shifter- Installation Tech !

Hi All,

Sorry I have been slow in everything these days but I am still trying to catch up

OK ! For those who are interested in the T1R Quick shifter and would like to know how hard to install, well here's the installation thread

I will skip the removal of the center console and the change level assy housing because those are really straight forward to do.

1) Once you have the change level housing off the car, use 2 flat head screw drivers to undo the 4 lock taps which holds the shifter.

1) Once you have the change level housing out, use 2 flat head screw drivers to undo the lock taps which holds the shifter.

After it is done it will look like the following pic.

2) Pull the change level ball seat off the shifter with a pair of screw drivers.

3) undo the reverse spring in order to let the shifter slide out of the lever assy.

4) Remove the white plastic joint with a pair of plyers. Don't try to force it cuz you might damage it. If you have any difficulty taking it off, use some hot water so the plastic will expand and it will come off easily. After you get that off, re-install to new shifter with applying lithium grease.

5) When you got the shifter removed, remove the other white plastic adaptor on your stock shifter and re-install to the new shifter with applying lithium grease as well.

6) Install the new T1R shifter back into the change lever housing and fit the side of the white plastic adaptor first then hook the reverse spring back on.

7) Apply a lot of grease to change lever ball seat then fit onto the T1R shifter.

10) Clip everything back on and reinstall change lever housing back to the car.

11) After it is done, it will look like this.

I think there might be some typo but I will keep revising it

Thanks
Ben
