I talked to OJR today and I was equal parts sad and happy to hear that they have the "virgin" AT they needed to complete their testing/install guide.

He assured me just short of giving me the actual date that it will happen extremely soon-- I mean the early-May thing sounds like it is going to hold this time. I believe him and I know (you can hear it in his voice) they are just as anxious to get it out as we are to get it, if not more so. These guys have no stake at all in holding back-- they are just dealing with a real serious mod that has to be totally perfect to release it it can really screw them (and us!) But we all know this, so let's just chill a few more days. Good times just ahead...

For me to get mine in and installed on time, they would need to ship early next week, which probably wont happen. Oh well, there's always the next meet, no worries... I really want to take my time on it anyway....

sorry i never got an answer on this...would upgrading to aftermarket pistons and rods increase/decrease performance with this kit? or are they just a waste of money? like i said i'm trying to get EVERY lil bit out of this thing...lol

What are you trying to do with the compression.... Theres been compression questions asked in this thread already about lowering it... NO NO NO on lowering the compression. I would recommend leaving the compression alone. As far as pistons and rods You can probably make a little extra power but IMHO it probably wont yield a significant increase in HP.

New pistons with the same compression rate as stock and new rods will gain you ZERO improvement in power production, but MAY increase the longevity and durability of those parts over stock.

Usually upgrading to stronger forged pistons and rods is done so that the engine can handle more boost and therefore generate more power.

I would not see the point of changing out the internals while keeping bore/stroke/compression ratio the same if boost was maintained at the same level.

With that said I am not sure what the little L15 can handle for power on stock sleeves and other drivetrain components.

Not to get too excited, but I checked my online Visa statement, and the pre-order amount has finally been posted to my account!!! Does that mean...*GASP*...it's almost time?!?!?! Like this week?!?!?! I hope so, I could use some good news for a change...the last few days have been absolute crap for me.
