Here's a vid of my GE8 with the A'PEXi N1 Evolution. A couple slight bits of full throttle and a nice little downshift too. Ignore the coughing, the girl and I are both sick. You can hear her at the end talking about the exhaust popping. LOL

Absolutely brilliant video EvilOne!
I'm looking into a similar (okay, identical) setup for my autocrosser/daily.
Any chance you could do a video using the same location but doing some 1st/2nd gear pulls?

Thanks!

Im seeing a ton of money for something as small as an axle back.

Kinda wondering why you guys are not buying the ebay catbacks offered in 2.25inchs and having a shop weld on a good quality muffler.

Less then $200 overall in parts, and catbacks interchange betweend GD and GE. the ebay ones are GD inspired, so the axlebacks if you decide to get one is GD style

3/4? there is only 2 I see.

Who cares? I said you would spend less then $200 if you got the catback and a muffler. Then pay a shop $20-50 to cut off the cheapass ebay muffler and weld on your replacement

Read my post entirely before commenting next time

I replaced the OEM exhaust on my 2009 Sport with an HKS Hi-Power Axleback:

Notes from the mod:

- Much nicer sound (obviously)
- Sound level about the same as OEM (which IMO is nice as I dont want a loud fart can)
- Sound from inside the car is nicer
- Engine droning noise at highway speed is gone
- No difference at all in fuel consumption (which I track very closely since day 1)
- No noticeable difference in performance (though I have read claims of 2-3hp gain)

Sorry I'm a little late to the party, but how different of an exhaust note do you think you'd get if you had a Tanabe Medalion AB instead of that Greddy? That setup is a little too raspy for me but I'd wager that has more to do with deleting the cats than the Axel Back, no?

Probably be a little quieter. Less deep. Yeah has a lot to do with deleting the cats. Also the resonator on the b pipe.

Forgot which header I had on that the time but both cats were deleted. This is with the yonaka catback.

Thanks for posting those links, car sounds good in all of 'em! Just bought the test pipe so I think I'm going to have a similar sound to your converter, b pipe and greddy, I just have the Tanabe instead. Might get the header later on down the road.

In-car clips of the Tanabe Touring Medallion axleback on an otherwise stock 2012 Sport (Spoon panel filter lololol)

This vid is 30 seconds of sitting at a stop light (note how much louder the turn signal is than the car idling & that the car is sitting in an underpass beneath an interstate), I then take off gently in first, take the car to red line in second & settle off at about 60. This video taken in the cupholder next to the gauges, making things a bit louder/bassier.
