J's Racing Exhaust

Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a J's racing 304R exhaust for my honda GE6.

I like the sound as i don't want anything too loud and another bonus is that there is a place in Australia that stocks them for around $560 AUS (so around $505 US)

Here is a youtube clip

Silencer YouTube - J's 304R + silencer (Fit GE)

No Silencer YouTube - J's 304R no silencer (Fit GE)

I have looked on the forum and can not seem to find anyone with this exhaust on their car to see what they think of it. Also i have heard that because it is titanium there are some cracking and problems associated with it. Can anyone confirm/deny this.

ANOTHER option for me was the T1R exhaust that everyone seems to be using. However i have gone and got a few quotes and it seems that postage kills the idea (from the states)

The 304 is not Ti it is 304 stainless, hence the cheaper price compared to the full 50R J's exhaust. It is like a bit less than 1/3 the price of the 50R setup. Not sure how much heavier the full system is, but I know just the axle back portion is about 1.5lbs heavier for the the 304.

I had the 70RS dual on my Snisen and didn't have any cracking problems and my car was beat on as much as I could with it, no touge running like in my old 5R, just no roads for that in Guam, but I would auto-x it every other Sunday.

I would look at getting some stiffer engine mounts though so there is not as much movement to help alleviate chances of stress fractures (if going with Ti).

I'm kind of happy that its stainless in a way. I think thats the one that I will be getting in the near future. Looks hot as well! Also I can't justify spending the extra for the titanium one. Plus I think that stainless will last longer as well.

I have been reading on s2ki, the J's exhaust is extremely famous for breaking. Most common is muffler, O2 sensor bung and resonator portions, the baffle inside breaks. There are also issues like pipes breaking off to the muffler or resonator area. Run a search and you will find A LOT.

I never seen the SS version in person but by judging the ti-version I assumed they built it the same way but different material so if I were you, I will stay away and consider something else instead.

Just my 0.2 cents.
