Just Bought GE8: Axle-Back Comparo

I had the great fortune of trading in my 2002 Civic Si for a 2010 Blaze Orange Fit Sport M/T with only 40,000 miles on from my local Honda dealer. Needless to say, I was thrilled with my gently used gem. Now that I've mastered that tricky rev hang and gotten used to the car, it's time to give it some growl. I've nailed it down to 3 (maybe 4... or 5) options, in order of which I'm leaning toward:

Spoon N1
Tanabe Concept G
HKS Hi-Power

Or T1R S51 or Megan OE-RS if anyone can make a compelling enough argument.

I'm looking for some real roar that can be tempered with a silencer in. Which is loudest? Least buzzy? Highest quality? I'm thinking Spoon, but I want opinions and I didn't see any really good comparisons in my research. Thanks!

Ill post here again. I went with the Tanabe Medallion Touring. Because you dont have to worry about needing a silencer on road trips. My plan B was a cat-back that looked like the exhaust i ordered yet only being 250 bux (). My plan C was the Megan OE-RS because its mellow an is the 1st Gen Apex-i World Sport exhaust which I always bought. The WS/WS2 are the best exhaust especially if you drove hi-end Hondas like back in 98 when i drove a brand new Prelude Type-SH or Honda Accord EX-L Navi.

Full cat-back exhaust 259.99 and it's yours. Good system.

Tanabe Medallion Touring cost $390. It is just for sound effect only?

They're all for sound only.

None of them will actually be loud.

Source: My old GD (very similar sound) had stock, Spoon N1, Greddy Evo 2, RS*R C&K and even went mufflerless for awhile.

None of them were loud, at all. My wife didn't even notice my car was any louder than a stock econobox when we were dating.

I have one of these I'll be selling soon. It has a removable silencer.

Amazon.com: Megan Racing MR-ABE-HF09DS Axle Back Exhaust Honda 09+ Fit Drift Spec: Automotive Amazon.com: Megan Racing MR-ABE-HF09DS Axle Back Exhaust Honda 09+ Fit Drift Spec: Automotive

I'm selling because I now have a full exhaust and it wasn't cutting it. When I only had CAI it was fantastic without the silencer. When I deleted both cats I had to add the silencer back in but it was fine. When I replaced the mid-pipe with a larger diameter it just wasn't enough.

Even if you don't buy mine I would say get one unless you want to fully upgrade your exhaust.

I stated you feel more mid-range.

There's power up top but as much as Tanabe Concept G but it's tad louder. It feel good to feel that extra push in the back.. I can't even add mpg Gains yet. I'm gonna do Wilmington to Myrtle Beach to Wilmington (80mi each way). And report back soon.

This has a straight pipe which I'd never do because it messes up the tuned sound.

I just want it for sound. Are you saying the Medallion is louder than the Concept G? I thought it was the opposite.

No. I stated it the post you quoted that the G is a tad louder. If u just want sound, you're better to go custom. Why pay near 300-400 in the name of sound?
