spoiler install on base model

i purchased one of these spoilers http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-2013-HONDA-FIT-GE8-SPOON-Style-Rear-Trunk-Spoiler-Wing-ABS-Plastic-/151185962630?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2013%7CMake%3AHonda%7CModel%3AFit&hash=item233362b686&vxp=mtrand am going to install it on my base model fit. any suggestions or pointers? it came with two thin pieces of plastic about 6 inches long and i have no idea what they are for. seems to be only two holes to drill.

this particular spoiler would have the bolt threaded in from the bottom rather than the top,
what are these black plastic things for?

I would ask the seller.

The Stock spoiler has two bolts accessed through caps on the top of the spoiler as well as some clips. Do you have two bolts protruding from under the spoiler?

How about some pics?

I would be interested in knowing if it makes any difference at all in milage, if you have precise way to check you mileage on standatrd route with consistent conditions, you could compair before and after.

the black plastic bits are just for you to mark the drill spots on the rear hatch to the spoiler.

see the protruding tube on the black plastic bit, that is to insert in the holes in the spoiler. as some double sided tape to the flat part of the black plastic so it sticks to the rear hatch when you test fit the spoiler. The black plastic will stick to the hatch to mark where to drill the holes (where the protruding tube is)
