Hello all,

I have been looking for real images of the 09 Fit in the new orange color. I have ordered one but still only have the digital image as a reference. Also I would think it would be cool to see all real life images of the colors on the car in one thread. If anyone has a picture of the 09 Fit in orange please post!

This is my first-time reply. I too have been waiting to see the Fit in Orange Revolution. It appears that the majority of initial shipments are Storm Silver, Blue Sensation or Black – at least in Michigan and Ohio.

I picked up a brochure yesterday at the local dealer, but the images aren’t much more revealing than the wallpaper pics.

One concern is the old orange (Blaze Orange) photographed really well, but in person it was much too light and coppery for my tastes. Look forward to seeing pics and/or the car live. Otherwise, I am leaning towards taffeta white.

 

FWIW. A sales manager told me it is a bright orange. Interpret it how you may. Anxious to see some actual pics like everyone else.

 

I agree that the orange they have now is too light and coppery .... bright sounds like what I am looking for I really like competition orange though which is a bit darker...either way I ordered this thing blind hope it will be good.

 

Well, if they have the other colors already in production, you shouldn't have a problem switching to another color, if you really don't like the orange.

The BOM was a burnt orange, a color with some brown/black in it somewhere. The University of Texas uses burnt orange as its football team color, and this car was just a little better than that.

The new color, at least from the drawing on the Honda website, is more of a true orange, like a crayon. A brighter color, a more intense color, and one you definitely would NOT see any other car in.

Which is great, if they aren't ever going to give us yellow.

 

I have an Orange Sport AT with NAVI on order, and it is currently in Oregon on its way to NC. Expected arrival is between 9/13 and 9/17. Keep an eye out on the west coast!

 

You must do me a huge favor and post a picture A.S.A.P once you get it!

Mine is suppose to be here on 9/21. Orange Sport without NAVI. Wonder if it was on the same boat.

 

The funny thing about Blaze Orange is it typically photographs darker (e.g., brochure) relative to its appearance in real life. I remember glancing at the '08 brochure last year and thinking, "wow, that's a nice orange." However, when I saw one up close at the dealer it looked a bit washed out (peachy, coppery) for my tastes. That said, I know a lot of people with BO (no pun intended) and are extremely happy.

As of now I have a TW Sport manual on order with a build date of Oct 22, but I could change my mind if the Orange Revolution is deeper and more vivid than the BO.

BTW, a local dealer called me today to let me know that he has a pre-sold orange Fit that's currently in California, and arrive in metro Detroit some time next week. I'll do my best to get some pics before the new owner gets over there to take it home.

 

Hey I was wondering how long ago did you order your fit for it to come in so soon. I ordered mine at the beginning of August and the ETA isn't till mid December....did they quote you very far out aswell?

 

I called my dealer on 8/23, and they already had an Orange Sport AT w/NAVI scheduled to show up mid-September as part of their standard inventory.
