Cool 2009 Fit: Mountain Bike Fits in Tall Mode

I've read some threads about bikes not being able to fit in Tall Mode so I had to find out for myself.

Bike is a 2002 Rocky Mountain Instinct 15" frame. Don't mind the flat tires.

Obviously, the front wheel must come off.

I slid the seats quite far forward to load the bike and there's plenty of room to move the driver's seat back. The passenger side can also move back, just slightly less than the driver though.

The straight distance between the back doors is about 54". By going diagonally, I gained a bit more wiggle room. The bike isn't jammed in there, as it can still shift around so a larger (longer) bike should fit. My bike is about 67" in overall length with the front wheel on.

Excuse the ghetto floor mat substitutes.

That's good to know! Though, When my fit comes in, I think I'm going to figure out a way to securly mount a quick release fork-mount to the floor of the rear. Hopefully I can do it in a nice and clean way that'll look designed and orderly. I'd like to keep enough usable space for other biking gear, hanging jerseys, tool, spare parts, etc... We'll see.
