Fuel guage off by 2.5 gal to picky?
I always like to know the accuracy of the needle .After filling up at 1/4 (5 gal) and 1/2 (7.6 gal) I was concerned.
Yesterday I waited to wait for the light. At 1/8 tank (330 miles) the light came on. Way off.
My previous was a see the gas fill and the same here. First click was 9.1 gallons, second was 9.7 and total fill was 11.00.
I love my car but all my previous cars ( bmw - vw) were within a needle width or less ofF. This is my first Honda, am I being to picky??
THUNDER...YOUR NEEDLE MAY VARY

In my experience fuel gauges are never linear. Course I always fill my tank every time so I dont really know anymore.
Also you should really stop the pump after the 1st click. Filling that 5 foot long tube that runs to the tank can do nothing but cause trouble.
It was funny tho, the other day I was gettin gas, it was $2.79 at walmart. This douche bag next to me let his pump shut off like 20 times. He just kept goin and goin, I was hopeing for some fuel spillage but no luck lol.
