Hot to install a Cusco Front tower bar in a GE8

How* not Hot
Ok I have another thread for the rear strut bar but in wanted a fresh one for the front so here it goes

I started off removeing the cowl panal plastic

Then i set the bar up in there and found which bolts to remove to install it.

and then tighten then up and barly cleared the brake resivor i had about 1mm of space cleared

but then i popped the cowl back on and it was done

nice right up also.
hows it drive now with both
front and back done?

man that is close on the brake res
thats going to suck when you have to add
fluid or change it. but then again how often
does that happen

whats that blue bar in the middle of the engine bay? does it make the bar a 3 point?

well there is a offset bracket that i am still waiting on to fix the brake res problem. the front bar wasn't saposed to fit but it did. and it made a world of a difference, more responsive steering. i love it

I'm not sure why it is there but it had hardware and was in the instuctions

how long did it take to remove the cowl? is it a pain?

It just pops off with a little presure. but take off the ends first

Awww looks great! I think I'll get one this weekend and post it here to.

Thanks AshPanda. Too bad no pics of where all the clips to be removed are located but I remember passing by a PDF somewhere on the net showing how to remove it.

Also, if I have no plans of installing that middle piece thing I have no need to remove my wiper cowl cover?

One last follow up question: Its just one bolt on each side holding it down for the strut bar itself?

one bolt per side and one in the center... and as for accessing the brake res on a USDM car they make a bracket that lowers the res down about 10mm for the USDM version other than that the bars are the same

As often as i change the brake fluid on my 2009 fit, i'll just pop off the bar when i finally do.
