Installed new license plate lights

Just installed these 194's from superbrightleds.com

Theyre called WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb, got the cool white color.

Theyre alot whiter than they look in the pictures. So bright they even light up the ground.

Looks super blue, but I take your word for them looking white. How was the install? Do you just slide the plastic cap to the right to gain access to bulb?

Install was easy, just slide those sideways and out, took about 10 minutes. Its more of a cool white, does have a blueish tint but the camera makes it look more blue than it really is. If you want.a warm white like stock they have a color option for that too. This looks sort of like an HID color blue, around 6000k.

Which type of bulb did you go with? 120 degrees, 360 degrees? x5, x6? There's so many on the site I'm not sure which would look best.

You pictures would look perfectly fine if you got a tripod. A DSLR with with IS would have trouble capturing a sharp image at that light.

I tried the single reverse-cone shaped LEDs (WLED-W) leftovers from a previous car and it was too blue for my tastes (don't want to risk getting pulled over). I suggest going with natural white or warm white. I have some 1W white SMT LEDs. Will post pictures if I like them after installed.

I don't mean to steal the thread or anything but you changing the your license plate lights has got me wanting to change mine and more :x I'm on superbrightleds.com and I'm also wanting to change my map lights but they don't have white for the 3022-x2 LED Festoon bulb! I'm not sure if the 3022-x4 LED Festoon bulb will fit being 1mm off.. Just wondering if there is another site where I can get these..? thanks in advance

I don't think it's illegal, as long as they're not blue or seem like a distraction to drivers.
