the one on left in the picture have a front splitter that looks like a 993 Carrera RS splitter, although the wheel is a standard non RS wheel...
so I am just curious if it is a real RS or just a regular 993 Carrera with RS splitter or even an aftermarket replica one...

if it is a 993 Carrera RS than it is special

note: actually if it is a 993 Carrera RS it is VERY special
but I don't think it is...

My car decided it wanted to run on 3 cylinders 140 miles from my house.

As I'm in the process of closing on my first house.

Perfect fckn timing.

Hate hate hate hate hate.

TFW my friend bought a 1997 Rav4 with 200k miles & other than the exhaust falling off (lol) its more reliable than my POS Fit.

Really enjoying it. Get lots of looks when people see its rhd lol. Got used to rhd within 15 minutes. Its the reversed headlight and wiper stalks that were the real challenge haha.

Other than that, there have been a few minor things i needed to fix. I was finally able to get the power locks working on friday when the new motors came in the mail. I had to winterize the car too(block heater, winter tires, antifreeze, etc) and add drls sidemarkers etc to make it street legal.

The rear washer fluid spray doesnt work now, which is weird since its the same pump as the front which works perfectly. Either the pump is starting to go, i have a clogged line, or theres a problem with the wiring

Dude I'm telling you it's just the Fit you got. I've had 0 issues with mine. I have 54k miles. I understand the frustration with the friends RAV4 and running good. I've got 178k miles on my F150 and it runs flawless also.

With all the annoyances you've had I wouldn't blame you on selling it.

I mean, its got 75k and the only two issues I've had are the battery failing twice & now this.

That said, if I weren't buying a house I'd 100% be window shopping a replacement (doesn't help that cheap gas has driven the car's value off a cliff too), clearly reliable cars & I don't go together, so I'd probably just buy something really stupid. I just wish this thing had broken in the summer, I wouldn't have to borrow my grandma's Accord, I'd just daily the S2000.

Is it possible its just that loose spark plug issue in I believe Cylinder #3 that I've read about more than a few times on this forum?

That sucks man. Hope its something simple like a loose plug or ignition coil.

It is definitely entirely possible, I REALLY hope it is something like that. I'd like to have spare cash to furnish my house & put tires on the new wheels for the S2000, rather than fix some huge issue on the Fit.

Another update today: panels aligned. Now to take eveything apart and bolt/weld the radiator support to the car along with the rebar. After that, theres still the new washer fluid bottle and the hood latch mechanism to attach. Then of course the paint and final assembly.

Those headlights are SO clean! I really need to polish the heck out of mine. You just going stock front bumper? Or did you pick up an aftermarket lip?

Thats awesome. Can't wait to see more progress.

Question for peeps with coilovers with adjustable dampening...did you have to modify or put a hole in the rear shock access panels?

I'm researching coilovers and it seems non-adjustable dampening coilovers just drop in, but when I look at dampening adjustable ones they say "INTERIOR SERVICE HOLE COVER NEEDS TO BE REMOVED OR MODIFIED. "

Also came across this thread...but that looks like hes trying to put the cover back with the dampening tool installed still.

"https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-generation-ge8-specific-suspension-brakes-sub-forum/89188-function-form-type-2-coilovers-rear-panel-cover-ride-quality.html"

Long story short I'd like dampening adjustability but dont want to put a HUGE hole/ruin a panel just to have that option.
