Standard waxes will not protect the car that long, especially not if parked outside.

Clay bar also does nothing to protect the paint.

This weekend we took a long trip to Niagara Falls, NY. Before leaving, my Interstate Megatron D51r decided to take a pooper and not start. Won't jump start. Won't hold a charge. It's not even 6 months old yet. Good thing I had my old Honda Oem Battery and put that in and it started without any problems. Considering the OEM was struggling all winter to start. No idea what's up with the Interstate. Warranty says I can bring it in for a free replacement.

On the way up got some decent MPG. First fill up was 39.09 MPG. Had to fill up again and that was only 33.33 MPG. Goddamn those Pennsylvania, NY mountains and gunning it 75+ MPH. It was getting late and I wanted to get to Niagara before it gets dark. On the way back only used one tank to get back. Took my time and spent a good 100 miles drafting a semi going 60-65 mph. I was following a good 4-5 white lines behind him. Got 41.88 MPG on the way back. Best tank so far!

^Nice setup, I need to wash my cars but I am waiting for my new car covers to arrive on Thursday

I was lucky enough to get free a full tank of gas this weekend by following the SoCal Honda Dealers twitter page. They announce that they will be in a city in SoCal and then it's up to you to figure out where they will be. Lucky for me they were very close to where I was and I was able to get my tank filled just before they left

LED reverse lights, license plate lights, front parking lights, and (at some point) LED brake lights. The brake lights sent by Diode Dynamics were orange instead of red so they are being exchanged now. I didn't do turn signals because I didn't feel like tapping in resistors. I am super happy with the quality of the Diode Dynamics stuff BTW. I'd recommend them to anyone!

I ordered an interior LED kit for the Fit from College Hills Honda and wasn't even remotely impressed with it. The bulbs were falling apart, and even though I pulled the backup fuse and disconnected the negative the lights would still pop the backup fuse every single time I went to turn one of them on. When I went to remove one it sparked! No thanks! I took them all out. I'm really bummed as I love having LED interior lights.

^ I thought led brake lights weren't as bright as the halogen bulbs. Now some can argue for or against. But in comparisons (youtube) the difference between the 2 is negligible.

Most of the time thats true but there are some options now which are actually brighter than the stock halogens. And importantly they distribute light exactly like halogen bulbs so you can use them in your reflective housings with no issues.

I never posted a pic of my i-VTEC decals. I know they aren't in the "correct" spot, but I like the placement I used better. I'm starting to go a little crazy, so I think its time to pull the trigger on something. Not sure what yet with the dollar being so crappy lately.

Love the mini wheels. If they were available in 17's I'd rock them so bad.

15s only weight 12 lbs though. If I were going for 17" and a similar style, I'd rock Oz Leggendas all day long. They're pretty expensive, but you can't complain about the quality.

Unfortunately I bought the car used and it was already Milano pink on the spoiler, front bumper and rear bumper. It's something I have to deal with until I can either buy a new fit or repaint the pieces. It bothers me a little bit but I know it wasn't my fault because I take great care of the car.

This is my next project. The paint on mine is in okay shape, but for a 2012 it's pretty rough. I bought a used Porter Cable 7424 off of a neighbor and have Meguiars M105/M205, orange pads, white pads, black pads, and an Auto Scrubber on the way. I'm hoping to get all of these swirls gone. The paint still looks nice and red so I'm hoping for no major oxidation or fading already. Milano Pink this early on would freaking suuuuuuuck.

Washed, waxed and new wiper blades. Ever notice car products tend to smell like stripper perfume?
