Imagine the weight savings with a CF hatch and plexi panel...vs. stock hatch + glass. Probably 75 lbs savings?

What brand tire and size? I'll search and find the manufacturer's stated weight and subtract out to find the weight of the alloy wheel.

It is a bridgy blizzak lm25 185/55/16
I weighed it on the scale when I got em last November,
like 20.5-20.6 I seem to recall, manufacturers round it either ^ or v to the closest I am sure

like a dim bulb, had complete front struts right there when I swapped to lower springs, and did not weigh them
...........yeah really dumb

I would like to know how much the various coil overs weigh.

Sizes and Specifications

LOL....bridgestone lists the 205 series at 28 lbs. I don't see the 185 series listed on their site. Hmmm...this makes it tough for everybody trying to find out how much just the alloys weigh...

Tire rack says 21 lbs, so my 20.6 is prolly right on

Oh I seem to remember 17.6 I think for the wheel stripped of tps, cap and weights 1/4 lb for those, tops

I dunno, but it cross checks out nicely, perhaps enough to almost check it off the list for now

well, now that im done with the JDM conversion, ill take some weight measurements for you guys for the: hood, fender, and just for the heck of it front bumper
i have everything in storage at my shop...ill get it when i can

Actually I was thinking about you and trying to figure out how much weight was lost with your conversion. Prolly need to weigh your car at a truck stop LOL

actually i was thinking that also about weighting my car...i can tell you this now, there is going to be a major difference especially since there is significant difference in weight in the hood.

the JDM hood is about 1/4 smaller than the USDM one

can i really take my car to a truck stop to get it weighted?

yeah, many truck stops have weight scales......... note how much fuel in your tank, remove any loose non standard items in your car, note if you have seat, spare etc in or out please

glad I caught you, rather than having you go through a bunch of effort. my thinking would be, dont weigh all the parts,

but the hood weight, and maybe bumper reinforcement would be so much appreciated.

With the whole JDM conversion, we probably can piece that together once you weigh your car, and we get some other car weights as well

Hood weight would help the guys thinking of going CF, but the whole JDM conversion piece by piece (or usdm pieces)? well embarking on "project JDM conversion" cant be by the piece, rather you are committed to do the whole thing once you start........as you well know

mmm I think the JDP grill might be the closest one to match (the pic on lilaznphatboy's awesome conversion), usdm &jdm grills not compatible, so half way close will be as good as you can get.

14.37 lbs stock springs added to post 3
I got the RS*R titanium 2000 down springs thinking that they would be lighter than stock, they werent, they were 1.5 heavier as I remember
(lol didnt want to go off topic on JSKRN's 1/4 mile thread so posted here although this thread could be his guide to mid 16 sec 1/4 mile times)
