Unusual Tire wear

My 2009 Honda Fit has one (passenger rear) tire where the tread depth is different from the rest of the tires but is even across the tire. The other 3 tires have even tread depth across the tire but have more tread depth. Any ideas or suggestions?

Bad shock not keeping the tire planted on the road. You ever see a car going down the highway and the wheel is bouncing up and down fast, worn out shock.

The difference is about 1/32 to 1.5/32 of an inch. Would that be considered significant?

I'm thinking you're splitting hairs. How many miles on the tires? Do you religiously rotate them? How's the PSI on each [checked cold]. Balance that out to the door sticker numbers front/rear and get them rotated.

If you have concerns stop by a reputable tire shop and talk with them.

~26000 miles
32 psi cold
Rotated at Honda recommended intervals

Could run a bit more pressure, check the door tag. Those the Dunlop's? How much tread is left, must be getting close to replacements, no?

They are Dunlops. Tread depth is about 5/32 on both from to LR is 5/32 and RR is 4/32. Yes, it's getting close to replacements.

The right front is the main drive wheel and will wear faster. Rotation is the cure.

I'm still getting the weird heel and toe wear on my tires. In fact, it is now starting to happen to the fronts that were rotated from the back. But is that truly heel and toe wear? You know how the tire feels serrated in one direction and smooth going the other?

I brought it into the dealer for this problem at 5k and had the tires rotated and the car was realigned for free. Now it is happening again and the maintenance minder hasn't even gone off for the car's second oil change.

This is really the only issue I've had with the car that seemed terribly annoying but I think it makes it all the more annoying that this is a problem I have *consistently* with cars. It has 8.5k on it now.

So do you think perhaps it could be caused by overly aggressive cornering?

Not sure you can street drive the Fit hard enough to do what you see. Keep on with the dealer would be my suggestion.

That's called feathering and a small amount is normal. More frequent rotation would reduce it if it bothers you.
