11. Within 1 to 4 seconds, press the transmitter lock button.
12. Confirm you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators within 1 to 4 seconds, then push the transmitter lock button again, or the code will not be stored.

You will still need to get the actual key programmed. I bought the OEM Keyless entry, programmed it and had they key cut at a local key shop. Put it into the ignition, no dice. Had to go to Honda and pay them to program that key to work.
Some people have cut the key part off.

Yes, it will. I did this with the $40 Fit Sport key from College Hills Honda on my 2010 base-model Fit, and also did one for a co-worker who has the same car. If you just want to use it as a remote key-fob, that's all you need to do - just cut off the key blank. If you want an OEM look (as I did), get your dealership to cut and program the key blank, which should cost around $50-$60.

I second that! My dealer was surprised I had already programmed the locks, but was willing to cut key and program the ignition chip for $47.00. I think he was itching to ask how I knew the Base Model had the ability built in, but bit his lip. Thanks, Fit Forum.

Keyless Entry
Has anyone had keyless entry added to a 2007 Honda Fit LX (Automatic). It already has the passenger door electric to open all the other doors. I would like to know where to get it nearby. My dealer quoted $380.00 plus taxes. Seems high. I need service near Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Appreciate some info.
Thanks
