Yeah top it off and it should turn off...or at least put more gas, 3.5 gallons might not raise the level in the tank high enough to satisfy the light lol.

That's why new cars come with a warranty. You take it back to the dealer and they repair it for free.

3.5 gallons is ~1/3 of the tank. The light should have turned off.

3.5 Gal should be more than enough to turn the light off as the light should only come on when there is 1.6 gal of fuel in the tank. I could understand putting in 2 gal and it not going off but not 3.5 gal. That would mean that the tank was 1.9 gal lower than what honda considers completely empty and I'm not sure if there's even 1.9 gal worth of space in the fuel lines, engine, etc...

sounds like it's maybe time for a trip to the dealer. A sensor may be stuck.

Keep an eye on when the light comes on and see if it does it again. i'd visit the dealer if it happens again.

Sorry guys, was just speaking from personal experience. I was thinking exactly what you said at first about it being more than enough, then I decided to top it off and it went away, I just top it off every time now and have had zero issues.

I have the opposite problem, mine doesn't come on until I have around a gallon left in the tank. It doesn't bother me much because I just fill it up when it gets to around a 1/4 tank, but it seems weird mine wo0uld wait that long to trip the light.
