Question Question for Honda Jazz owners in the Philippines

Hey all.

My brother is going to the Philippines in June 2011. I'm asking him to get me seat covers. My question is if the rear seats of the GE8 in the Philippines is the same as my USDM GE8. I looked at the website for Honda Philippines and noticed two photos that contradict each other in terms of the placement of the 60/40 split rear seats. The USDM rear seats are more like the 2nd photo (the larger 60 of the 60/40 is placed behind the driver's seat).

Both interior photos below were taken from the Honda Jazz Philippines website. Note the configuration of the 60/40 rear seats on both photos do not match, leading me to assume that they may be different based on trim. I doubt this is the case and hoping it's just an error on the website, but if someone from PI could confirm, I would appreciate it!

Not sure if it matters, but I know they have both left and right hand drive cars in the Philippines...maybe that's the reason for the different rear seats? Could that picture just be a flipped version of the original image? Just making a guess...

Cool

I'd appreciate it greatly, cfran, thanks.

Mutem, I think it's an error too. It makes more sense to me that a drastic change such as the 60/40 configuration would not exist between trim of a car model. So the photo is in error or something else I'm missing. Hopefully someone can clear it up.

it's not illegal in the the Phils. to drive rhd. Most elf, canter, fuso etc... are rhd as they are bought from Japan as used surplus.

As for the seat covers, there's a lot to choose from in the Phils. Honda Phils carry them and after markets are a plenty from leather to cloth like corduroy to leatherette. I did remember my brother said that it would fit but I also recall that someone in the forum said they are different...

pretty sure its illegal/banned which is why they convert them to lhd.

still no word, hopefully i go back in may and pick up some goodies.

and my family picked up some leather seat covers for our toyota 4runner and the fit was terrible, and the zipper for the rear seat for the divider was way off

^ hmmm... guess I've been gone from the Phils a long time LOL

the leather covers are hit or miss and really depends on where you purchase them from. the last covers I had from the Phils were off white corduroys
