Yellow Foglight Bulb Opinions Needed
I'm going to order some yellow bulbs for my Sport GE's foglights. I've never done it before so I would just like to know which of the two I'm considering forum "Freaks" think I should order... preferably based on personal experience and/or bulb reputation.
If there is another brand some of you recommend other than those I'm considering then feel free to suggest:
Amazon.com: Halo Automotive Solaris Yellow H11 (12v 55w) Bulb - Twin Pack: Automotive
or
Amazon.com: Nokya Arctic Yellow H11 55W Light Bulbs: Automotive
or
Amazon.com: PIAA 13511 H11 12-Volt Plasma Ion Crystal Yellow 55=100-Watt Bulb - Twin Pack: Automotive
^ overkill? ^
or
Amazon.com: Heliolite Xenon Pure Yellow H11 55W Automotive Light Bulb: Automotive
I'm partial to the Halo bulbs... Halo has a good reputation for home and commercial lighting products, but I'm not sure about their auto lighting stuff.
Thanks for the time and opinion(s)

any of those will work.
PIAA is not overkill... it's ridiculously overrated for what it is and what it cost... all PIAA stuff are. not worth it! Only reason I'm running yellow PIAA on mine is because I got them dirt cheap from a friend

Is there a place with better prices than Amazon? If there's a cheaper price somewhere else then why not, right?
Thanks

I read somewhere that some of the yellow bulbs are not really yellow... just a sickly tone of dingy, off-white... and then some bulbs are extremely yellow. The Halo's are "supposed" to be that rich yellow that seems to cut through fog better.

Amazon.com: Luminics JDM Yellow H11 Halogen 2500K Headlight / Fog Light Bulb w/ FREE LED Keychain: Automotive
Never heard of that company, and at $31.50 they're not exactly cheap either.
What type are yours? Unless your photo has been enhanced for color -- and judging from the MR color of the body it doesn't appear to have been -- those are definitely yellow. Are they fairly yellow from a driving viewpoint?
I was riding in a friend's BMW, it was patchy mild-to-medium foggy, his were an intense, rich yellow and cut through the heavier fog like nothing I've ever seen. They looked really good on his ride too.
Not a huge deal... would just like to buy the most dependable and richest yellow possible. If I spring $25.00+ for bulbs I would like them to last at least as long as a dependable standard bulb.
Hey, thanks for the pic, man!

HIDs need ballasts and relays, not just bulbs. to do it properly you should use projectors too. your friends BMW probably has an 3000k HID kit.
search HID kit on ebay OR
Blazer Fog Light Stage III Kit - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
this site has tons of good HID info

Otherwise, the price is really expensive from that site... but they appear and sound to be a good product.
Hey, thanks for the heads-up and link!
