Brake Rattle

Brake Rattle
Hello,
I have a 2009 Sport with15k miles and recently installed swift springs. I love the feel and decided to try a progress sway bar. However, I’m running into a problem with the bar. With it installed, I get a clunking/rattling noise from the right-rear brake. The bar is not contacting the body or beam, even over large bumps. Is there a brake adjustment I could do to get rid of the clunk? Would stiffer rear shocks help at all?
v/r,
Jason

If you drove your Fit without any rattle issues with just springs then after putting the bar the issues arise... wouldn't you want to check the bar and not the brakes (unless they were causing a concern as well prior to bar install)?
Usually what happens is the head of the bolts for the rear bar rub against the spring, causing a clunking/rattling. What I would to first before looking at brakes or shocks is remove the bar and its hardware to see if the sound goes away. If the sound does go away after bar removal, you'll likely need button head style bolts that won't hit against the spring. Panducky used to sell some but discontinued them, Fastenal sells a bolt similar that would work (I have a set for my Progress bar).

Thank you for the advice. The hardware that came with the kit are button style allen head bolts. It does not appear that the spring would contact them due to the stock rubber spacer. I do notice that the spacer is not side specific as the index nipple is forward on both sides. However, the spacer does have more material on one side. I will see if I can rotate the right side spacer 180 degrees and see if it helps.
