High Mileage?

High Mileage?
Fit Freaks,
Bought a 2012 Honda Fit Sport M/T about a month ago -- currently has 2K on the Odo. Joined the site right away because in the past I have found these forums to be incredibly helpful.
My question to you all...
How many miles do you have on your Fit?
(Looking for 100k+, please share any maintenance tips / any issues you may have experienced)
Thank you for your time.

About 92k on my '09 Sport MT. Just passed NY state inspection. 5mm still on the original brake pads. Just installed my 3rd set of tires. Had the LMS recall done at about 50k. Burning a bit of oil, but that's been since day 1. 4th set of wiper blade inserts. 3rd engine air filter, and about 5th cabin. Oil changes as the MM suggests, typically at about 10k. Once replaced the gearbox oil. That's it.

Thanks everyone for sharing. I drive about 30k per year so I will hit 200k in a little over 6.5 yrs. Looking for common issues / repair trends.
Anyone aware of any common issues these cars might have?
Thanks again for sharing...looking forward to even more high mileage stories / maintenance techniques.

Here's a thread you might be interested in reading:

List of issues from your thread:
-clutch took a crap literally the springs exploded
-one sensor physically broke so i replaced it
-my aux fan the blades broke after hitting a water puddle
-ac relay under warranty
-ac compressor went out
-rear hatch lock broke under warranty
-rear left headrest wont stay up anymore
-struts replaced under warranty
-one caliper seized
-battery died
-pads rotors 2 times
How many miles did you have before your clutch repair/replacement?
AC issues seem common, again -- when did yours go out (under warranty)?
Brake repairs / replacement seems normal. I had similar repair intervals with my 04 Civic.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm at 128,XXX still going strong on my 08 base MT.
I haven't had a single issue with the car up to this point, regular maintenance and preventative mtx.
I'm going to be replacing my clutch soon, but that's from my driving style and where I drive. So I'm doing it before it goes out, and its at a time I REALLY need my car. Do it while I can deal with it being down for it, before it kills me.
I just put front pads/rotors on 2 weeks ago because I was getting a shimmy during braking.
Oh and completely irrelevant, I replaced my drivers side rear tail light from a shopping cart that was carried by the wind. The grocery store paid for the new light, I installed it. It was the TYC OEM tail, the Honda one wasn't in stock at a local dealer and I wasn't going to be to evil about it. A housing is a housing to me.

Glad to hear it isn't just me. I'm at 41k on my 2012. I don't feel like I drive like a maniac, but I dunno ... I guess at 36 MPG, the Fit feels practically free to drive (like $25 to fill up). So I drive a lot more than I used to.
It's nice to see the 200k video. Makes me know I'm not going to "wear out" my car in 5 years.

I think this is the reason we buy Hondas' and Toyotas' we anticipate that no matter the mileage we can get into the car and drive it anywhere without worrying. 40k on a 2012 is impressive, I average about 20 to 25k a year and most people think that is a lot.

Just about to roll over 60K on my 11'. Will have owned it for 2 years on March 27th. I put mile 3-7 on during my test drive, and pulled out of the lot with 7 miles on the OD .
I replaced the stock rotors at roughly 17K miles (warped).
Oil changes per the maintenance computer at my local dealer.
2nd set of wipers front and rear - they dry out in So. Cal. during the summer.
On my 3rd set of tires and wheels. Stockers were gone at 20K.
I get the occasional plastic rattle in the rear over rough road, but not too bad considering lowered car on 40 series tires.

Sad to hear the rotors warped at 17k and the tires were gone at 20k. I've heard that the stock tires are crap. What tires did you run for the second and now the third set? What were your approx intervals on the oil changes?

Drove mine off the lot with 31 miles but 20 of those were mine from the test drive

Current tires are some 205/40R-17 Fuzion HRi XL tires from Tirerack that I picked up for $42 each. They were on clearance and combined with some 17" wheels I picked up on CL, my total installed was $585 (after pizza and soda for my neighbor to install the tires and swap sensors).
My oil changes have been at roughly 10K miles. As I said, I mostly drive hwy, so my scheduled changes might be higher than others. Commute is 46mi each way with 38 of that on the fwy. I drive at 68 mph as that seems to be the sweet spot for mileage for my car. Sitting at an actual mpg of 34 to 36 depending on how hard I drive or if I pull my trailer (mgp drops to 31).
