Does y'alls right wiper arm vibrate?

2012 Fit Sport has 33k on the clock so far, running perfectly, no problems at all. The one minor pet peeve I have, though, is that since day 1, the passenger wiper blade arm vibrates like crazy at idle... it's becoming quite distracting. Wondering if any y'all did any DIY to it or even have the problem to begin with.

Thanks!

I've seen mine do that a few times.

Thanks... I'm talking every time at idle... it's almost like the revs are the perfect harmonic resonance for the blade...

looks like these two guys dancing next to me when i'm driving....

Whenever I notice mine shaking like that, I just blip the wiper so it cycles 1 time, and usually it'll settle down after that.

You could zip-tie a washer or some other weight to change the harmonic...might work.

(edited to appreciate that I just noticed I have a 5yr member badge!)

That's a good idea, I'd just be worried about a weight jiggling off and cracking the windscreen.

Yes, mine does that ALL the time, but it doesn't bother me that much.. Putting the car in neutral helps sometimes.

Actually, looking at it right quick, it seems like maybe the spring... I'll try playing around with it in the morning and post pics when it's lighter.

is it just vibrating or does it also buzz against the plastic on the edge of the windsheild?

in either case you could try loosening the wiper bolt on the rubber cap and adjust it up or down slightly to get it to rest in a tighter position. dont want to move it too far off its original position though.

did this with mine and it made the vibrating go down a bit.

Seriously?

ARE YOU SURE the wiper is actually vibrating, or are you saying it appears to vibrate due to the curve of the glass and heat rising?

I think you need to put the car in park and look from outside of the car, because if I'm not mistaken, it just looks like it's vibrating, but it's actually an optical illusion. I'm not kidding...seriously LOL.

The wiper is not vibrating it is the car underneath it that is.

Geez a vibrator that does not need batteries

Serious, mMaybe bend the wiper arm down a bit to increase tension.

Considering I only notice it when I'm stopped... I don't really consider it distracting.

All I can beyond that is... maybe you should just learn to ignore it.

I didn't have this problem until I got that damn LMS recall done. Service dept really botched that one up for me, I even told them about it and they adjusted to make it worse. I noticed it doesn't always vibrate, but when it does it's annoying.

Gonna look in to fixing it asap in the coming weeks.

I have not experienced that yet. The only thing irritating is that both my driver and passenger doors started squeaking

My passenger's side wiper vibrates a ton with the A/C or defroster on because the motor idles a little more crappy and there must be some harmonic stuff going on. I just ignore it.

Yes! Funny that you posted this. My wife and I noticed our Fit doing it the other day while stopped at a light.
