2010 FIT 1.5L L4 F/I ManAll Typhoon Kit (CA) 69-1017TTK Performance Intake Kit review
AJust installed this intake and took a drive.
5-60 MPH is 9.5 sec versus 10.5 before. Nearly full tank of gas on K&N run.
Hear Vtec come on in 3rd gear but can't really "feel it".
Car seems slightly more lively and doesn't seem air starved at high RPM like the stock car does. Stop watch sees it much faster though (see above).
Intake is quieter than PRM Jet Stream intake. With the PRM Jet Stream intake you Hear it go on Vtec (crazy LOUD) and FEEL it though. PRM did
5-60 MPH in 9.6 sec though, it bogged badly right at the start but has a very strong high RPM rush.
PRM Jet Stream is Much Easier to install and a much more elegant design.
K&N has you taking off coolant hose and crankcase hose which I believe is non-sense. Sent K&N a photo and email about this. What I did is just connect crankcase hose to intake tube. Bought fitting to do this from US Plastics (1/4" NPT to 3/8 ID elbow black nylon, 38 cents or so) and paid $9 for 2 day shipping (ouch!). Got the hose from CARQUEST. Both rated -50->275 degrees or so.
Hope this info. helps someone.
Best,
Yo

The differences tell a lot.
PRM bogs off idle and you feel the standard "I just hit VTEC yo!" surge which could mean one thing. This intake looses low-end tq to then gain a lot when cam switches to higher profile.
The K&N gains a good amount of low-end and progressively builds power to red-line. This is in my eye is a more usable power band. You wont need to always be in VTEC to get the car up to normal city speeds (35-45mph) like you would with PRM.
Nice review.
