Sumitomo tires

Sumitomo tires
At 44k miles, I am looking at replacing my tires on my 2013 Sport. After looking through Tire Rack's inventory, I found that the Sumitomo HTR A/S P02s beat out every other tire except the Michelin. That's $61 vs $131 a tire. I'm probably going to go with the Sumitomos. Does anyone have any practical experience with these tires?
If it matters, I live in Alabama and rarely see snow/ice. But we see torrential rainfalls.

Beat them out overall and most individual categories (minus snow categories.)
And this is the same tire compared to what was on the Fit when I bought it:

I went through a set on my '09 Fit Sport. They're excellent in terms of noise and excellent in rain (I spend summers amidst Newfoundland down pours; I know whereof I speak). They're awful, awful in snow. They wear out quickly; mine barely made it to 40k. They don't help your gas millage (at least not in the 205 width, which is what I had). If you're in the Pacific NW and don't plan on holding onto your car too long, I think they're a good value. Otherwise...
For a good all around set of tires on the Sport (16" wheels) I'd recommend the Yokohama Avid Ascends. I've just started my second set, purchased through Discount Tire and installed at WalMart. Not as quiet as the Sumitomos (about the same as the Bridgestones that came with the car) but way better than those in terms of snow and mileage. They're excellent in rain and in dry too. My first set was replaced at well over 50k and could have gone further, but I had the car in for NYS inspection and didn't want to take chances.

Thanks everyone for your input. Eugene, I came in to post that I had decided on the Avid Ascends and saw your post. It's good to get confirmation. I would never use these in snow (where I live, we get snow maybe one year out of three) as I would use my truck. I was concerned with comfort, noise, wet traction and longevity, in that order. I put about 30-35k miles a year on my vehicles so these should last me 1.5-2 years. They HAVE to be better than the OEM Dunlop 7000s on them.
$83 per tire at Simple Tire + $53 shipping total. Standard P185/55R16 size.

The Continental DWS is End of manufacture now, Continental has a new tire that is as good! I ran a set of DWS on my 330XI loved them a lot, all weather. Fantastic rain tire, very decent ice tire ,,, Super in actual snow. The replacements have been a great performing tire as well and are wearing better.
