'16 SCION Ia likely replacing FIT

It's Sterling Silver w/ a 6 speed auto . $17,595 - $500 ( rebate ) = $17,095 - $800 (D.D.) = $16,295 . Trunk mat and 4 mud guards installed at no cost . 0% financing for 5 years . Payments under $200 . Trade in of $11,000 . Pick up is likely tomorrow if car and papers all look in order .Test drove it for 25 miles with 2 of us , 30% city ( plenty of lights ) and speed up to 60 . Very windy . A/C on about 50% . Car rode and handled well considering 40+ p.s.i.. in all 4 . Only 2.9 miles on it . Click to enlarge pics .

What made you decide to switch?
I would go for white or other bright color. Gray/silver are so hard to see and are more likely to be involved in accidents.

Thanks for sharing. Good luck.

Nice. A lot of car for the price. Also like the clean lines of the interior.

The grill reminds me of ED-209.

We're considering the iA for my daughter. When I checked it out earlier this year, the inside screamed Mazda and I thought that was weird. I didn't realize until some later research that it's a Mazda2 (which Mazda won't sell in the USA) with a Scion badge, and pretty soon Scion will get scrapped and it will be a Toyota.

Yeah, they aren't exactly singing that reliability tune in the GK forums.

BenQuick , the guns would be a nice option for those congested roads and possibly being late for work . Thanks .

Here's a J with a not so tight gap for rear and front bumper .

Decided against the Ia . Only out for less than 1 year , not so easy maintenance like the Fit(s) , read of hard shifting 6 speed auto tranny and few other issues . Only 1 tire size and 1 tire maker , being Toyo Proxes A27 . Not too crazy about D.I. either . We'll wait on the TOYOTA Yaris ( D.I. , new bumper , interior style ? ) , possible release of the FIT sedan ( D.I. ) and other upcoming small sedans . Last , only few years left on FIT .

Yeah well I didn't have that luxury, I waited as long as I could but circumstances being what they were I was forced to jump into the GK pool. I rolled the dice and so far haven't encountered the big problems reported here, but my fingers are going palsy from constantly being crossed.

41psi! Surely not recommended so high on so small a car??

I think the iA is ugly as heck but that it's also a great car. From what the press is saying, you can drive that car fast all the time, have a lot of fun, and not worry about going too fast for the law. That much HP is sufficient for so small a car. I think with a tire change that would be a great car to autocross.

I just wish they hadn't rebeaked it. The Mazda looks just great. Toyota just felt they had to be "different".. maybe was done by an intern.
