Black Housing Headlights

Not sure what happen to my thread, maybe internet lagged but I have a question with the Black housing headlights. I notice there were two different version where the chrome housing one is black plastic looking vs where the housing is chrome black.

I'm looking to purchase the black chrome housing similar to this one
(Sorry for taking a user's photo, will delete upon request but needed a reference)

I'm not sure if these are the correct part number, if someone can chime in if it is wrong.

You will see black housed headlights on the sport and grey on the base model fits for 12-13 for sure. I am not sure about 9-11. From the knowledge I know they are the same size just interior color is different

My '10 base model came with the black housed headlights. They were hazy so I ordered a replacement set from amazon. Some little search over there would help you.

Thanks for your input. The wife likes the black housing headlights and I personally do too. I put the order on it assuming I ordered the correct ones like in the picture. I compared the brackets from the 9'-11' to the 12-13' and the brackets seem to be the same.

There's a difference between the surrounding housings for the US Base and Sport Fits:

2009-2011: Base has a matte gray surround, Sport is bright chrome
2012-2013: Base is same as previous, Sport changes to black.

Take your pick, they're all interchangeable as far as mounting points go...

Thanks, that is more reassuring. I went ahead with the 2013 Sport headlights. I like the black chrome finish on the newer headlights.

Agreed! I am switching to the 2013 sport front end here soon and might try to paint my headlights on the inside first.

Raspberries were hard to find in manual and sport model

I have a 2010 sport. Chrome headlights and hate them. Black housing is the way to go.
