Test fit at this point. Thats pretty much the only thing that lines up from usdm. A lot of other parts have to be lined up based on the fender. The panels will be going on and off several times before they get the final primer/paint/clearcoat and they go on for good.

Another update tonight: aligning the hood, headlights, and fenders. Placing custom mounting brackets and rad support. Aligning the hood hinges is the most difficult part. Bumper may go on for the first test fit tomorrow.

I hope it helps if you ever plan to do this. I am not personally doing the work as its way beyond my capabilities in many ways. I trust the guy thats been doing this as this is his third GE, one of his previous being the AJ racing fit. I havent heard from him in a little while but ill shoot him a request for update this weekend if i dont here from him first.

I expect it to be ready by the end of the month and should be back in vancouver to pick it up in early march.

I'll be tackling this project as soon as my container gets here, that air freight is too baller for my wallet. I was able to source everything as salvage yard parts and I'll be doing the fabrication work myself. Any pictures of the added hangers and brackets sure are helpful. They've got a great start on yours for sure.

Yep! I miiight be able to get it on march 2-3, should be home march 5-6. So ill have 11-12 days to install the retrofit, finish the mugen lip, custom plates, RS emblems, and finally the air suspension.

I leave for the fresno meet on the 17th or 18th. Hope to be ready.

Im gunna be busy as hell. Luckily ill have a helping hand or two.

The adventure continues... Pick up confirmed for march 3. However, the pallet that had the mugen lip and grille is currently missing. As far as i know its passed through customs and it was lost on this side of the ocean.

Im strongly considering paying air freight on the replacement mugen parts if need be.

Dude I hope it shows up asap! How does one misplace a pallet?

Guessing unless it shows up or you order another, you wont have a center grill?

Yeah thats right. So i will find out more tomorrow whether the pallet is really lost or not. But in the meantime, AJ has already contacted japanese suppliers for air freight replacements.
