Driver side airbag : Should it look like this after replacement ?
The gap looks a bit too large . Also check the electrical connection cover on the bottom of the steering wheel when replaced .

Could someone take a picture of the driver airbag cover at same angle ( shown below ) that's not replaced yet or those after fix for a comparison ? The tech replaced it less than 35 minutes . Should that be of concern ? The panel on the bottom of the steering wheel was replaced at no cost . Click pics to enlarge .

I don't even know why you have to ask.
That's ugly...and simply not right.
I'm usually against outright complaining. But I'd outright complain.
Return, be appropriately annoyed, and ask to see the service manager.
That's an unacceptable level of repair especially for something as important as the airbags.

EDIT. Actually, the gap on top of your steering wheel is normal, I think. Sorry about the misinformation. I just had my airbag replaced too and the gap on my steering wheel stayed the same.
However, the bottom panel in your picture is definitely messed up. They should fix that.
