Weirdness with USB iPhone connection and repeat
So my iPhone got stuck on REPEAT 1 for a week after I was using it in my 2012 Sport on REPEAT 1 and didn't turn off REPEAT before turning off the car.
I connected it via Bluetooth to a family car where I was traveling for a week, and the car's audio display showed REPEAT 1 on. I was able to turn REPEAT off in the car, but once I disconnected from the car's Bluetooth, the iPhone went back to being stuck on REPEAT 1.
It was stuck on REPEAT 1 for the duration of the trip except when I turned it off manually while connected via Bluetooth to the car.
When I got home, I plugged the phone into the Fit, turned off REPEAT on the Fit's audio interface, and the iPhone was cured of its weeklong REPEAT 1 habit.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
iPhone SE running iOS 10.1.1 and stock 2012 Sport audio system.
TIA.

sounds like an issue for iOS forums. It's not the FIT that prevented you from getting off of repeat since the issue traveled with the phone. If all iphones plugged in to the FIT were stuck on repeat, then it would be a problem with the head unit. The fit sends the command to the iPhone to repeat, the iPhone hung onto that command for some reason. When you plugged it back into the fit, the stereo sent the command to disable repeat - which the phone then accepted.
That said, I'm an Android Guy. (but a mobile device & stereo enthusiast - along with being an IT guy).
Your Answer will be with the iOS crowd on their forums as the FIT only was the Catalyst that showed where the problem began and how to correct it.
