blacked out vs silver headlights

i'm looking for 2nd gen honda fit. I'm noticing some fits have the black out headlights and some are silver. Did certain model years had the change?

Not sure if you are in the US, but the US had a mid-cycle design refresh for the 2nd generation fits in 2012. One of the updates were black bezels for the headlights. I think the black bezels make the headlights look a lot nicer.

In the US, the Base models had the black headlights, the Sport had the chrome ones (my 2009 Sport has the chrome....) and as bob89 said, after 2012 all models went to the black.

Ah, so I was actually thinking about the sport version. Thanks for the clarification, Codger.

Is it that blue one you took pics of?

My advice is to drive it and if it is OK, buy it if at the right price: $4000 - $5000 .

No problem. Honda for some reason at that time thought the chrome version was "sportier" so put that on the US market Fit Sports. Once they realised that a number of Sport owners were swapping their headlights for the Base version or baking them to split open so they could paint them they went to all versions going black.....
