RIP Stripe aka my '13 Fit.
My 13 Fit was the most recognizable car in town, "Stripe" as I sort of thought of it. It was not meant to be an homage to Herbie but a lot of people saw that instantly. Great car! Bought it new, planned to have it for 20 years.
Well 1 second if inattentiveness and a driver stopping short in front of me a few weeks ago. Totalled. Glad I had the airbag recall done!
My wife has a 10 automatic, and I've got snows for both of them and the complete service manual, and heck it's a great lil car. Spunky enough, in the manual, to be fun (well, in relative terms; I have a 2001 Trans Am and that's real fast fun). So much room for hauling stuff, such great mileage. There was only 1 replacement. The list of manual cars in colors other than black or purple is exceedingly small, at least right now (Feb 2017). But I found one with lower miles than what I had only a few hours away. Exact same, just newer serial number.

RIP "Herbie"
I can almost guarantee you that your car will be sold for salvage, repaired/sold, and on the road again ("Herbie" rides again, LOL!) My first Fit w/ much more serious damage ended up on Craigslist w/ a salvage title; I actually drove past the lot it was sold from several times!!
