I Just got back today... been out on the boat... I got your message...... I have a few of the parts you will need but It might be later this year if you need the rest of the parts..
If you bought Japanese front seats, would you be able to do refresh mode in the GE? Would there be any install issues?
i think that will work. but i was thinking if the materials are the same.
you get a drivers seat from europe and a pass seat from japan.
this way both front seats have up down adjustability.

Yeah according to Dave this would work and we would regain refresh mode. I've been wanting to regain refresh mode back since I found out we didn't have it.
Dave even suggested just getting the seat backs alone (instead of the whole seat) and that would also work and be less expensive. Our seats have some blue in it, where as the JDM seats have red, but it wouldn't matter if you're gonna get seat covers, or leather wrap them.
From what I recall I think the height adjustment is only higher, we can't lower it past what it is now... unfortunately for me I wanted the seat lower...
Other countries also get the leather seats OEM, I was thinking a full seat swap with the European leather seats, this way I'd get refresh back, and have OEM leather.
I also want to see pics of the GE8 refresh mode, I can't find any anywhere, only diagrams... I want to see if its a similar refresh mode to the GD's which was quite flush with the rear. Gotta check with some boardies and see if they can snap some pics for us.
I've been pm'ing Dave about this for a while now, but I can't seem to get any replies recently... Dave please check your pm's.. thank you.
I've actually grown quite fond of the Fit's driving position (Didn't like it at first), so that doesn't really matter to me. I'm just wondering where I can get Japanese front seats now. But it's nice to know that it will work. Thanks for the responses.
I have a set of these Mugen covers Mugen Leather Seat Covers with matching door panels, steering wheel, gear shift and hand brake.
I think to modify the passenger drivers seat to up/down adjustable, you may only need the frame and plastic trimmings from a UK or Asian wreck.
Update:
Ok I just had a quick look at the floor in my right hand drive fit and it seems the drivers side floor fitting and shape are different from the passenger side.
Maybe you will have to modify the legs a little to fit the floor and line up with the bolt holes. I am not sure if you have small shops that can do this kind of work in the US. It looks easy, but it not.
I just wish my passenger seat would adjust a little bit lower.
