Ampole is an unknown quantity at this point
Zune compatibility?

I just bought a new '09 Fit Sport, and in the small compartment above the glove box there is a USB wire. I hooked up my Zune and can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone else had success? thanks!

Did you press the Aux button on the headunit (or similiar on the Nav system)?

When you connect the Zune to a PC, does it mount like a USB storage device or do you need special software to connect to it? If that's the case, likely you'll just have to play your tunes by connecting the headphone output to the 3.5mm Aux input and go the analog route.

A cheap regular flash drive works great however, for non-DRM 'd mp3's and WMAs.

Are the files encrypted? If you get your music files from a service like Yahoo for example they won't work.

From the Honda Site :
"Some USB devices with security software and digital rights-protected files may not work. Please see your dealer for details on compatibility."

They aren't, I have one too. You can't even scroll the folders, you get an unsupported format message as soon as you go to USB. So it's not a case of the tracks themselves being DRM-free or not (mine are), it's that the Zune's folder system is incompatible...

According to the posters above, your Zune won't work with the USB coinnection the same way that the Ipod does.

But-- I will bet that if you connect a 1/8" earphone jack from the Zune to the Aux. port next to your 12 volt plug in the console, the Zune will play on the Aux channel of the head unit, but it won't display anyting on the head unit.

I am only assuming that you HAVE an Aux. port as we 1st. gen. Fit owners do.

I can verify too that the Zune is incompatible with USB port in the glove box . I tested a friends, and like masonReloaded I got "unsupported" across the radio screen. This is a non-navi Fit.

The aux port does work however. But with this method you have no control over the Zune itself unless you pick it up and select your songs/playlists manually.

I'm going to opt for a USB key for my music storage. You can get up to 32gb ones currently. If ipods played WMAs I would have opted for an ipod.
