I notice that it looks completely different than the one that I installed (see page 1) and that there are no electronics attached.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but can anyone else find the original red/blue ring light?
I cannot seem to find it anywhere, and Dave is somewhat awol.

That MicroImage link is just a blue LED attached to clear plastic with grazed surfaces so the light reflects. Most likely the same plastic that you grab when you open your home blinds. A far cry from the one Dave sells. $40, no thanks.

Any of you folk selling those world one blue/red ignition lights?

And what exactly is: "FJC or SHC"?

Last I spoke to Dave he said that he can not get these any more. World One has sold the rights/company, and a new company will making these. Dave said that the new ones wont be available till October...

Mine turned out to be defective, and I basically took a loss on it... since it will probably cost the same as another new one to send mine back and get it repaired... if that was even possible... damn.

Mine took a dump too.
Now instead of showing blue the red flashes with the blue on. Looks kinda cool.

Mine did the same thing as your after only being installed for a week. Tried getting a hold of Dave numerous times through PM's and on this thread to see if anything can be done about it and never heard anything back from him. Would've been nice to hear something from him but never did.

Yup mine too after about week it started flashing faintly red, and some blue.

Using a battery I tried 9v, same problem; then a 110 to 12v dc constant converter, same problem... I then decided to try one of my 18v Dewalt batteries, and it worked perfectly.... go figure.

Wow, looks like I opened Pandora's Box.

Guess I'll hold out 'till October to test my luck on this one.

I bought mine from another forum member JDM DOHC SiR. I think there are other members that make their own key rings (using clear plastic tubing and led diodes).
